Sego Lily Center for Abused Deaf, Salt Lake City, UT 9/16 – Present
Victim Advocate
Advocate and support for abuse victims via 24/7 hotline (VP, text, and email); victim support through conversation, face-to-face meetings, assistance with resources including law enforcement, medical, and shelter information, accompany victims to necessary appointments when appropriate.
Sanderson Community Center for the Deaf, Taylorsville, UT 12/15 – Present
Sewing Instructor
Responsible for assisting with sewing projects, developing project ideas, teaching step-by-step instructions, troubleshooting sewing machine problems, assisting with students’ own projects as needed, set-up and clean-up as necessary. All classes taught in American Sign Language.
Canyons Church, Salt Lake City, UT 9/98 – Present
Interpreter, Treasurer
Treasurer duties including balancing financial records and decisions regarding church finances. Interpreting duties including sign language interpretation for all services, Sunday school, weddings, funerals, conferences, and meetings both individual and group. Deaf Sunday school teacher as needed with all classes taught in American Sign Language.

Successfully homeschooled four children through all grade levels, kindergarten through high school. Researched, planned, acquired, organized, and taught all core subjects and electives. Three students accomplished early college enrollment with two earning scholarships.

Developed Human Resources Department within University Bookstore. Promoted to overseeing all non-sales departments: Human Resources, Training and Development, Customer Service and Cashiers, Shipping and Receiving, and Security. Responsible for hiring, firing, training, development of policies and procedures, keeping up-to-date with current laws including ADA/504, scheduling, budgeting, maintaining accuracy of shipping and receiving procedures for all incoming and outgoing materials, and all matters related to store security and reducing inventory loss.

Started first Human Resources Department for this growing manufacturing company. Developed all training materials, facilitated all hiring practices, wrote policy and procedures manuals and employee handbooks, maintained payroll and benefits, managed staff, and ensure compliance with all employment laws.
